Three Things Union with Christ is Not

Personality as it is in Christ has far greater resources.

James Stewart argues what Union with Christ is not:

  1. Union [with Christ does not imply] virtual absorption of a pantheistic kind.
  2. Divine immanence does not impair or even destroy the distinctness of the human personality.
  3. The man whom Christ begins to possess does not thereby cease to be himself.
